Case Study Questions and Answers:
1. Do you agree with the argument made by Nick Carr to support his position that IT no longer gives companies a competitive advantage? Why or why not?

*I do not agree with Nick Carr that IT is no longer gives companies a competitive advantage because now a days the whole world is surrounded by technologies and through these breakthroughs companies have already rely on technology to reach the global competiton. Since IT is the best way to achieve it so why the companies don't use IT?Does this mean they will just go back to the traditional way of Information accessing.

2. Do you agree with the argument made by the business leaders in this case in support of the competitive advantage that IT can provide to a business? Why or why not?

*I agree with Michael Dell’s statement that improper used of IT equipment, it’s expense outweighs the benefits gained. The companies expenses wil be just more over it's benefit if IT equipment will not improperly imposed. Your business IT strategy will become useless and wasted, but if its IT equipment will properly imposed it will be a big help to the business foir improvements.

3.What are several ways that IT could provide a competitive advantage to a business? Use some of the companies mentioned in this case as examples. Visit their websites to gather more information to help you answer.

*The IT can provide competitive advantage to a business in terms of easy communication with their different transactions.

1. Could the 2004 Athens Olympics have been a successwithout all of the networks and backup technologies?

Answer:

>I think it could not be successful enough because if the Athens Olympics has no networks and other technoologies if some would like to change all the score or others that can found important in Olympics it is easy to access if someone would like.

2. The 2004 Olympics is a global business. Can a businesstoday succeed without information technology? Whyor why not?

Answer:

>We all know that some business today more on techonology, i think it is not successful without information technology because using of technology is more easier for the CEO or the preident of that entire business to manipulate thier business.

3. Claude Philipps said dealing with “crazy scenarios ofwhat might happen in every area: a network problem,staff stopped in a traffic jam, a security attack . . . everythingthat might happen,” was the reason for so muchtesting. Can you think of other businesses that wouldrequire “crazy scenario” testing? Explain.
